இங்கிலாந்து அணியை முதல் முறையாக U19 மகளிர் கிரிக்கெட்டில் வென்ற இந்திய பெண் சிங்கங்களுக்கு ரூ.5 கோடி பரிசு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
ஜனவரி 30: 19 வயதுக்குட்பட்ட இந்திய மகளிர் கிரிக்கெட் அணி (India Women Team, Under 19), தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவில் (South Africa) நடைபெற்ற டி20 (T20) போட்டியில் இங்கிலாந்தை (England) எதிர்கொண்டு இந்தியா (India) வரலாற்று வெற்றி அடைந்தது. நேற்றைய ஆட்டத்தில் இங்கிலாந்து அணியை 68 ரன்களில் ஆல் அவுட் நிலையில் சுருட்டிய இந்திய பெண் சிங்கங்கள், 3 விக்கெட் இழப்பிற்கு 69 ரன்கள் எடுத்து வெற்றிவாகை சூடியது. இதனால் இந்தியர்கள் பெரிதும் மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்து கொண்டாட்டத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தி வருகின்றனர். இந்த நிலையில், "இந்திய மகளிர் கிரிக்கெட் வளர்ச்சிப்பாதையில் பயன்னம் செய்கிறது. ஜூனியர் உலகக்கோப்பை வெற்றி மகளிர் கிரிக்கெட்டின் அந்தஸ்தை உயர்த்தியுள்ளது. அணிக்கும், உதவி பணியாளர்களுக்கும் ரூ.5 கோடி பரிசுத்தொகை அறிவிக்கப்படுகிறது என்பதில் மகிழ்ச்சி கொள்கிறேன்" என பிசிசிஐ செயலாளர் ஜெய் ஷா (Jay Shah, BCCI Secretary) ட்விட்டில் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
