ஜூலை 11, புளோரிடா (World News): அமெரிக்காவில் உள்ள புளோரிடா மாகாணம் (Florida), டாம்பா விமான நிலையத்தில் இருந்து அமெரிக்கன் ஏர்லைன்ஸ் (American Airlines) நிறுவனத்திற்கு சொந்தமான போயிங் 737 விமானம் ஒன்று, 176 பயணிகள் மற்றும் விமான குழுவினருடன் புறப்பட்டது. விமானம் ஓடுபாதையில் மேலெழும்ப தயாரான நிலையில், ஓடுதளத்தில் வேகமாக பயணிக்கும்போது திடீரென விமானத்தின் சக்கரங்கள் உடைந்துபோயின. இதனால் நிலைமையை உணர்ந்த விமானி, சற்றும் தாமதிக்காமல் விமானத்தை சுதாரிப்புடன் செயல்பட்டு பத்திரமாக நிறுத்தினார். நல்வாய்ப்பாக இந்த சம்பவத்தில் யாருக்கும் எவ்வித காயமும் ஏற்படவில்லை. இந்த விஷயம் குறித்து விமானத்துறை அதிகாரிகள் விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.
